Corporate Information

Decoy Ridge, Inc. is the parent corporation for Decoy Ridge Retrievers, D-R Graphics & Website Development, JaMar's Treasure Chest, D & J Lures, Seven Shots Sutlery and Seven Shots Trading Post. Decoy Ridge Retrievers was brought into the Decoy Ridge corporate fold when the addition of the second company, D-R Graphics & Website Development, prompted the founding of a parent corporation that would oversee the business affairs of both companies. Seven Shot's Trade Blanket was the third company to join the corporate group.  Decoy Ridge, Inc. is owned by Dave and Jan Welter.

Decoy Ridge Retrievers, established in early 1994, initially was originally inspected and licensed by the State of Missouri and offered Labrador, Chesapeake Bay and Golden Retrievers, Brittanys, German Shorthaired Pointers and English Setters. The kennel then held the status of Hobby Breeder registered with the State of Missouri, and offered Labrador and Chesapeake Bay Retrievers exclusively on a very limited basis.  The kennel stopped maintaining a breeding program, officially closing, in December of 2009.  Decoy Ridge Retrievers was managed by Dave and Jan Welter.

D-R Graphics & Website Development was established in early 2000. With the design and development of Internet web sites as the main objective, Desktop Publishing and digital photography are also offered. D-R Graphics & Website Development operates under the watchful eye of Jan Welter.

Seven Shots Trading Post started out as Seven Shot's Trade Blanket and joined the corporate group in late 2000. With the growth of business the Trade Blanket expanded to become Seven Shots Trading Post!  Dave has participated in Black Powder Rendezvous' for over forty years. Jan joined him when the rendezvous' were close enough to home. Usually she oversaw the kennel operation while Dave was "out being a Mountain Man!" She now handles all corporate business, e-commerce and website development-management. In 2011 Seven Shots Trading Post expanded once more to include Civil War reenactments and Seven Shots Sutlery was born!
